Coming to the Pro

As we rush toward the end of the school year, it’s a good idea to take a little break from all the studying and stress and do something just for fun. If you’re looking for an easy (and cheap) night out, look no further than MSU’s own Procrastinator Theater. The movies on tap for the remainder of the semester include:

“INTO THE SPIDERVERSE”

It can be hard to keep track of all the different Spider-Man actors nowadays, ranging from Tobey Maguire to Tom Holland, but viewers now have a few more to follow with “Into the Spiderverse,” and that’s a good thing. Join Miles Morales and an ensemble cast of Spider-people as they take on Kingpin and his cadre of villains in an adventure that is equal parts touching, empowering and just plain fun.

“THE UPSIDE”

“The Upside” follows Dell, a struggling parolee, in his new job as the caretaker of Phillip, a quadriplegic billionaire, and their burgeoning friendship. The movie was inspired by the real life story of Philippe Pozzo di Borgo, the director of the Champagne Pommery in Reims, France, who became paralyzed after a paragliding accident.

“GLASS”

“Glass,” the final film in M. Night Shyamalan’s superhero trilogy, features Samuel L. Jackson, Bruce Willis and James McAvoy, all reprising their roles from the films “Unbreakable” and “Split.”. Anya Taylor-Joy also reprises her role from “Split.” The movie follows the escalating series of clashes between Dunn (Willis) and The Beast (McAvoy) as events are manipulated from behind the scenes by Mr. Glass (Jackson).

“MISS BALA”

Gloria seeks help from the police when cartel hitmen kidnap her friend from a nightclub in Mexico. After being turned over to the gang herself by a corrupt policeman, Gloria must play a dangerous game to outwit not only the cartel, who try to use her in their plot against the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), but also the DEA agents who suspect her of complicity.
