EDM Night lights up Bozeman Hot Springs
Unreal Productions hosted an EDM concert on Sunday, March 20 at the Bozeman Hot Springs, featuring local Montana DJs Styto, ODONATA, Nerdskull, Blyt and Ezra.
The hot springs venue appeals to all concert goers, from high schoolers to retirees. Many college kids were dancing up in the front of the pools, while parents wrangled their children and enjoyed the music in the back. “I saw toddlers headbanging and people of all ages getting together because of the music,” said Logan Troester, also known as ODONATA. “I think it is really cool to see everyone vibing in a pool together, it feels like a big community. I have never seen that anywhere.”
One of the best parts of the show was the venue itself. Being outside and completely warm at the same time is not a common occurrence during colder months in Montana. While sitting in the pools, flames surround the area, and I could see laser lines above my head lighting up the natural steam from the hot springs. “The visuals were a dope addition to the overall experience. I love the hot springs as a venue, the lighting helps the feel a lot,” said a college student who attended the concert. In front of the stage, dancers in mermaid suits spun ribbons while unique visuals were shown on a screen behind the DJ.
Being in the deep pools was an exciting experience. The water line came up to my neck, and I could feel the bass vibrate through the water. I don’t personally listen to EDM, but the music paired with the environment as a whole made the concert a unique and very worthwhile experience. I would definitely see these artists again.
