With the beginning of each new semester, MSU hosts a plethora of activities and events for students returning to Bozeman as well as for students entering their first semester of college — the biggest of which is the MSU Debut. This is a collection of events that spans from Jan. 7- 31. Activities include everything from basketball games and trivia to a live performance from a magician. There’s something for everyone on campus to enjoy and participate in, regardless of one’s year in school or major. It’s a great way to meet other students and explore campus.

The events for the remainder of the month include Trivia Night at Rendezvous Dining Hall, Movie Night at the Procrastinator Theater, the Study Abroad and Student Involvement Fair and the men’s and women’s basketball games, among others. MSU intends these events to provide a look into what each semester entails in terms of activities available to new students. For old students, MSU Debut is meant to be a fun month as they settle into the new semester.

Students can also take advantage of the “30 Days of Bozeman,” an event where a series of local businesses extend deals and offers exclusive to MSU students, most of which can be found around campus or on Main Street.

If you’re looking to take a break from your studies, or simply fill free time, this month has a variety of ways and options to do just that. You can do more than just participate in MSU Debut events, you can volunteer to help set up, tear down, or run the activities.
