OSE to host Catchella

The Office of Student Engagement (OSE) and PACE will be hosting Catchella, the free annual spring concert, at the ELM on Thursday, April 28, at 8 p.m. The event has previously been hosted at the Rialto under the name of Golden Lights, but hasn’t been held the past two years because of COVID. Due to many requests on the OSE social media pages, the concert will feature the American indie pop band called Almost Monday. From San Diego, “Dawson Daugherty [vocals], Luke Fabry [bass] and Cole Clisby [guitar]—bottle California sunshine in their funky basslines, ecstatic choruses and danceable grooves.”

Isaac Thomas, chair of PACE said, “We want students to have a musical experience that will more deeply engage the community, so the event will be for students, by students.” Two weeks ago, students who attended MSU’s Battle of the Bands voted on the best performance of the night. The local student band, Puddle, put on a great show and won the event and therefore has been selected to open for Almost Monday at Catchella. Puddle has self-described its group as “Bozeman’s 3rd most popular Nicolas Cage admiring, comedy loving musical sextet,” and have proven they put on a great show.

Come check out Almost Monday (@almostmonday) and Puddle (@fluid_puddle) on Instagram and at the ELM on Thursday, April 28. Only MSU students will be permitted, so make sure to bring your CatCard.
