Live music filling your ears as you stroll down a row of local vendors presenting the best produce they can gather. Groups of people laughing as they munch on their favorite fruits, and dancing as they walk. It’s a farmer’s market at night, something many do not have the chance to see. It’s not only a perfect photo-op for those looking for the best Instagram post, it's a community coming together for a fun night. Roughly 15 minutes southwest of Bozeman lies Bodhi Farms, a beautiful setting for many community events. Currently, every Thursday night in September, Bodhi Farms hosts a “Harvest party.” Lasting from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., local vendors are in attendance selling produce, food and beverages. As the cold begins to creep into Montana, fresh produce nears its offseason and ultimately leads to a seasonal halt. This year the last Harvest Party before the season fades will take place Thursday, Sept. 30. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested to visit this wonderful event before having to wait another year.
Miss the last Harvest Party but interested in what else Bodhi Farms has to offer? Don’t fret, Bodhi Farms also offers many fun Nordic activities ranging from ice skating, cross country skiing, snowshoeing and sleigh rides. Unlike the Harvest Party, these events typically have a low cost. Not only can you purchase a day pass, season passes grant access to all trails and the skating rink are also available. Keep in mind these are all seasonal activities. For more information on these activities and when they will open for the season, check on the Bodhi Farms website at https://www.bodhi-farms.com/.
