Smith Valley firefighters wrap up wildland training ahead of summer fire season
SMITH VALLEY, Nev. — Firefighters in Smith Valley wrapped up their annual wildland refresher training as they prepare for the upcoming summer fire season.
The training reviewed fires from last year, both locally and across the country. Crews focused on fire behavior trends, tactics, structure triage, shelter deployment and aviation safety.
