The roots of a new view

It’s currently 9:53 p.m. and I’ve just returned from my trip to The Elm, the recently opened venue for live entertainment near downtown Bozeman. I was partly at a loss for words when deciding how to write this article, as Logjam Presents advertises the venue as world-class. While I’m not entirely certain I would go that far, I have to admit that my experience did leave a good impression.

The first thing to note was that the layout of the building was far from what I expected. For reference, I was visiting this venue to watch a rock concert featuring Prong, Obituary and Black Lable society. Despite the fact it was a metal concert, the venue itself was almost completely opposite of what you might expect. The Elm is a modern building in its design, with a very sleek and almost professional finish. It’s also important to note that the building is larger than it seems. While it isn’t particularly wide, Elm makes up for that with three tier floors to make sure everyone can see as much of the stage as possible. On top of that, there is a second floor that comes with seating and a more direct view of the stage if you’re willing to spend a bit more.

The sound was simply amazing, and I’m not just talking about the music. The Elm has massive speakers on each side of the stage which make it so you feel the very music reverberating through your chest. On top of that, there is also a decently wide range of beverages for you to enjoy along with your show.

I’d have to say that The Elm was definitely worth the visit. Even if you’re not into rock or metal music, this venue seems to have a wide range of events spanning multiple genres in this month alone.
