Students expect their university will mishandle sexual misconduct, if they ever report it

(CLEMSON, SOUTH CAROLINA) Sexual misconduct – including sexual harassment, stalking, intimate partner violence and sexual assault – is a common problem on U.S. college campuses. According to the 2024 Higher Education Sexual Misconduct and Awareness Survey, about 1 in 5 women and transgender or nonbinary undergraduates experienced sexual assault during college.
