Dems commit over $1 million in early ad buy in Montana for MT01 race
BOZEMAN, Mont. - The House Majority PAC, a group supportive of Democrats is placing $272 million in initial television and digital reservations for the 2026 election cycle across 68 media markets, in Montana that comes out to well over $1 million.
- Butte/Bozeman — $720,000
- Missoula/Kalispell — $774,000
Reservations for ad buys are made well before the candidates are decided in the primary, but this follows data that indicates Democrats believe the first district is winnable.
For the 2026 Midterms, HMP has made reservations in Montana totaling $1,494,000.
In 2024, they made reservations totaling $4,161,500. Notably, there was a competitive Senate race in Montana in 2024; therefore, additional time had to be purchased in advance so the price wouldn’t go up.
These reservations typically begin in the fall in the weeks prior to Election Day.
