From supporter to critic | Raymond Winn

As a current resident of Lake County and having graduated from Moiese Grade School and Charlo High School I have a strong tie to this part of the Flathead Valley. Additionally, having flown over 300 combat missions off a carrier in Vietnam, I also have a deep and abiding love for this nation.

Although my basic beliefs have not changed over the years, it seems the definition of what I believe has: what I thought was basic common sense is now called “conservative thought.” I can live with that. However, that means if you are not conservative, you are not representing my beliefs.

Unfortunately, I have supported Rep. Reksten the past two terms. I put her political signs on my property and promoted her personally. In speeches and personal conversations, Rep. Reksten has said many times what a “strong conservative” she is.

This is simply not true, and I thank the Montana Republican Party for exposing her voting record and Democrat donor base.

Linda Reksten, a supposedly “conservative” legislator, has voted to allow transgender surgeries on children, as well as siding with the nine other fake Republicans that chose to support the Democrats and their bills. Democratic leadership called the past legislative session their “most successful ever.” What’s more, Linda Reksten’s donor base includes many high-level Democrats and abortion activists.

I blame myself for trusting a person who seemed trustworthy rather than doing more research. Representative Reksten has proven she is not a conservative.

Just as liberal ideology espouses the insane idea that you can “identify” as a sex different than what you were born as, no one should believe Linda Reksten when she claims to identify as “Republican.” She should just run as a Democrat instead.
