Hall enters NBA Draft

MSU’s star men’s basketball player, Tyler Hall, has declared himself eligible for the NBA draft. Hall will not hire an agent, as he is just looking to see where his draft stock lies in the current year. Without hiring an agent, Hall has the opportunity to pull his name from the process and return for his senior year at MSU.

Hall has been a dynamite addition to the Bobcats since he joined the team in the 2015-2016 season, where he earned the Big Sky Conference Freshman of the Year award. Throughout his college career, Hall has averaged 19.8 points per game while shooting 41 percent from the three-point line. He has drawn attention from the NBA since his sophomore season, when he averaged 23.1 points per game.

Some have given him comparisons to C.J. McCollum, as he came out of a mid-major program as well (Lehigh University). The most recent Big Sky Conference player to make it in the NBA is Damian Lilliard, McCollum’s teammate, out of Weber State. Both McCollum and Lilliard are currently competing in the NBA playoffs with the Portland Trail Blazers.

Hall has until May 30 to make his decision to continue on into the NBA draft or withdraw and play his senior season for MSU.
