Paulina Porizkova Evicted From Home Days Before Wedding

Supermodel and actress Paulina Porizkova is being evicted from her apartment just days before her wedding to Jeff Greenstein.

On the May 26 episode of her Twenty Good Summers podcast, Porizkova recounted what happened.

“We’re kind of getting evicted because my landlord did not want to, no matter how great of a tenant I was for six years, he didn’t really want to give us an extension on the lease,” she explained. “Even though I begged and pleaded.”

She continued, of the New York City apartment, “And so we have to move out of her four days before we get married in Italy. Not great. And then we also come back from our wedding, and we have nowhere to live.”

Still, the Arizona Dream and Her Alibi actress acknowledged they are “very privileged,” as she and Porizkova plan to live either at her Upstate New York home or his Los Angeles home until they can find a new apartment in NYC.

“We cannot complain,” Greestein pointed out. “But it is an unexpected happenstance… This is not how we would have drawn the play. Getting kicked out of our house four days before the wedding and then coming back to nothing in New York is not what we planned.”

Porizkova, 61, and Greestein, 62 — a writer, director, and producer known for his work on sitcoms like Will & Grace, Friends, and Desperate Housewives — started dating in early 2023 and have been engaged since July 2025.

In a 2025 interview with Today, Porizkova said of their relationship, “I feel like I’ve just discovered love. I know, it’s crazy.”

She continued, “But I feel like what I thought love was — you know, the butterflies, the familiarity, and the anxiety — that’s not love. I think that’s cockroaches. I think that’s trauma calling you back home. I have a whole idea of what this is. Being in love, to feel treasured and safe and like you are equal with your partner, so there’s not that, ‘Leave, no, don’t leave’… I was stupid for a long time.”

Previously, Porizkova was married to Ric Ocasek, the lead singer of The Cars. They welcomed two sons, Jonathan and Oliver; Ocasek died in 2019. Meanwhile, this will be Greenstein’s first marriage.
