1 person killed in I-90 crash near Big Timber

BIG TIMBER, Mont. - One person was killed in a crash on I-90 eastbound on Sunday at around 7:40 a.m. According to Montana Highway Patrol (MHP), alcohol, drugs and speed were all suspected factors.

According to a press release from MHP, a 21-year-old driver was heading east on I-90 when they swerved off the roadway to the right and flipped. A 41-year-old passenger, who MHP said was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver was injured and transported to Pioneer Medical Center.
