Adventure awaits at Clubs' April gala

SIDNEY — As the Boys & Girls Clubs of the MonDak prepares for its April 17 Building Great Futures Gala, organizers are giving one lucky winner the chance to build a great adventure.

Tickets for the Choose Your Vacation raffle go on sale next week and will be available through the gala, said Boys & Girls Clubs CEO Madison Miller.

Through the raffle, the winner will be able to choose from six vacation packages:

• A Cancun All Inclusive vacation, including a four-night stay.
• The Ultimate Sports Fan Package, which includes lower-level seats to a regular season game (Major League Baseball, National Basketball Association, Women's National Basketball Association, National Football League or National Hockey League) or PGA Tournament with a two-night hotel stay. 
• The World Traveler Package with options between five world-class destinations, including Tuscany, Italy; Bali; Thailand; Dublin, Ireland; or Santorini, Greece.
• The Disney World Resort Family Adventure, which includes a four-night one-room hotel stay and a $1,000 Disney World Park gift certificate. 
• The Legendary Live Entertainment Collection with five different choices for destinations, shows, and more. 
• Waikiki Waves, a five-night stay at a four-star boutique hotel in Waikiki with a snorkeling adventure for two

Winners will also receive a $1,000 gift card to use toward flights and transportation.

Tickets are $50 or five for $200. The vacation raffle and the gala are part of the Boys & Girls Clubs' fundraising efforts, Miller explained. "It's our biggest fundraiser of the year."

This year, the goal is to raise $135,000, Miller said. She added that unless donors specify how they want their donations spent, funds raised will "go toward running our programs, our after school, our summer programs and our outreach programs."

Tickets for the gala, which will be held April 17 at the Richland County Fairgrounds Event Center, are $30 for individuals and $50 for couples. Gala and raffle tickets can be purchased online at bgcgala.auctria.events or at the Club office (205 3rd Ave. SE, Sidney) during regular hours.
