Belgrade woman appointed to state education board

Gov. Greg Gianforte has appointed Amanda Mills, of Belgrade, to the Montana Board of Public Education.

Mills serves as the learning and development manager for Williams Plumbing, Heating and Civil Construction in Belgrade, where she oversees apprenticeship programs and workforce training initiatives as part of Montana’s Registered Apprenticeship Program, according to a press release from Gianforte's office on Friday.

"She previously led training and education programs supporting Department of Veterans Affairs healthcare services nationwide and began her career in education as a credentialed teacher," reads the release. "Mills holds a bachelor of arts in liberal arts from Life Pacific University and a master of arts in teaching from Chapman University. Her term will run through February 1, 2033."
