BLM opens bids for Lewis and Clark County timber sale near Wolf Creek
WOLF CREEK, Mont. — The Bureau of Land Management is accepting written bids for a proposed timber sale on nearly 23 acres northwest of Wolf Creek.
The project area sits about 12 miles northwest of Wolf Creek and includes Douglas-fir and several other pine species.
The agency said the planned work would use uneven-aged thinning to improve forest health and lower wildfire risk.
Sealed bids are due to the Butte Field Office by June 26. The winning bidder will be notified after June 29.
