Body recovered from Bigfork Bay sent for identification
BIGFORK, Mont. — Authorities are investigating after a woman’s body was recovered from Flathead Lake in the Bigfork Bay area.
Flathead County Sheriff Brian Heino said passersby spotted the body in the water around 11:30 a.m. Thursday near Bigfork Bay.
Deputies responded to the scene and recovered the body from the lake, Heino said.
The woman’s body was sent to the State Crime Lab for identification and an autopsy. Officials will determine the cause and manner of death as part of the investigation.
