Bozeman Food Truck Festival Supports Cancer Research Fundraiser

BOZEMAN, Mont. — A food truck festival at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds brought together food, community and support for the Cancer Support Community of Montana on Friday, May 29.

The event served as a fundraiser for the statewide nonprofit, which has branches in Bozeman and Missoula.

The organization provides support for people impacted by cancer through more than 60 programs and serves up to 700 people each year.

Organizers said the festival was expected to draw nearly 2,000 people. They said more than 14 vendors participated, serving food ranging from crepes and kabobs, barbecue, and more.

The event ran from 4:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds.

Fundraisers like this are especially important, as Montana has a population of more than one million people and just 81 oncologists, according to ConquerCancer a nonprofit focused on funding and accelerating cancer research.
