Bozeman search warrants and arrests follow Gallatin drug inquiry

BOZEMAN, Mont. — The Gallatin County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) announced that a multiagency operation in Gallatin County led to multiple search warrants and federal criminal arrests early on Thursday, May 21, 2026.

GCSO said the Missouri River Drug Task Force, Bozeman Police Department, Montana Division of Criminal Investigation and other local, state and federal agencies assisted the Drug Enforcement Administration and the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Authorities reported that teams served search warrants at several locations in Bozeman and the Gateway area during a long-term investigation into drug distribution networks in the region. Multiple people were arrested on federal criminal charges.

GCSO said the operation involved months of work by local investigators working with agency partners. It also said those efforts relied on established relationships and coordination across agencies.
