Bozeman Wellness Expo Brings Local Health Resources To Gallatin County Fairgrounds

Bozeman, Mont. — Community members gathered at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds in Bozeman on Saturday, May 30th for the Bozeman Wellness Expo, where organizers and vendors focused on connecting locals with health and wellness resources. 

The expo included local wellness vendors, giveaways, and product samples.  

The event is in its second year and features a range of vendors tied to holistic health and alternative medicinal products.  

Participant Laura Joy Jester described what drew her in. 

“I stumbled upon the first year of this expo, and I literally found my tribe here, all of my people, everything I use daily,” Jester said.  

Founder Sarah Miller explained that her reason for starting the expo came from health challenges her family faced while she was growing up.  

“So, my family went through mold toxicity from our home that we had; and we went through the whole detox process, it was a very long journey, and it felt very isolating; and after we healed, I just felt very called to make a place where the resources are more readily available for everyone,” Miller said.  

Marketing Director Brittny Cuff says the goal of the expo is to help people in Bozeman find local options that support their health.  

“We are here to give locals access to the resources that are in the area, so that you can be healthy on your own. You don’t always have to go to the hospital to be healthy. So, all of these resources are ways that you can live well, mind, body and soul,” Cuff said.  

Vendor David Runia of Beartac Bear Spray highlighted a product designed to make bear spray easier to reach.  

“You typically carry your bear spray somewhere where it’s flopping around. It’s hard to access, and it’s really slow to get to it,” Runia said. “We designed a clip system to keep it really accessible, really fast to get to.”  

Another vendor at the event was Kangan Water, which is an alkaline and hydrogen-based drinking water that helps balance the body’s natural pH levels.  

Organizers say they plan to expand the expo into Missoula and other parts of Montana in the coming years.
