LEWISTOWN, Mont. — The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) said bridge rehabilitation work on US 191 north of Lewistown is set to begin in the week of May 11.

MDT said the project covers two structures: Armells Creek Bridge at mile marker 86.48 and Fred Robinson Bridge at mile marker 88.06.

Drivers in the area should expect traffic control, lower speeds, temporary signals and delays of 10 to 15 minutes. MDT said a nine-foot width restriction would be in place and advised wide loads to use another route.

The department said construction was expected to continue through September if weather and other unforeseen issues did not cause delays.

People with questions or comments about the project could contact Public Involvement Specialist Natalee Stout at 406-444-6021 or mdtprojectpi@mt.gov.

More details about active road projects are available through the Montana Department of Transportation and MDT’s five-year Tentative Construction Plan.
