Butte-Silver Bow launches watering restrictions

BUTTE, Mont. – Butte-Silver Bow officials announced that sprinkling restrictions have taken effect for residents within the city-county as of Thursday.

Daily watering times were designated from 8 p.m. until 10 a.m., with any further watering prohibited outside of those hours.

Homes located at even numbered addresses are only permitted to water on even dates, while odd numbered addresses are permitted to water only on odd dates. Officials reported that the 31st day of each month will be considered a “non-watering day.”

Violators of these restrictions may be subject to a $100 fine.
