Car lands on roof near Norris Hot Springs

MADISON COUNTY, Mont. – Madison County authorities responded near Norris Hot Springs on Highway 84 – where a car swerved off the road and landed on the roof of a garage.

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office posted about the event and included a photo depicting a blue SUV resting on the roof of a building. The car’s back wheels were near the top of a hill that plateaued near the roof.

“Not the average morning call,” the office wrote on its Facebook post on Wednesday.

The office said the incident took place near Norris Hot Spring on Highway 84 near mile marker 1. Emergency crews responded to the scene, the office said, and included participation from the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Harrison Volunteer Fire, Montana Highway Patrol, Madison County Emergency Management and Madison Valley EMS.

“Thank you to all responding personnel for their coordinated response and teamwork,” the office wrote.

It said the Montana Highway Patrol is continuing the investigation.

One person was brought to the hospital for evaluation, the office said.
