Fairy Lake Road closure near winter parking lot starts Monday

MONTANA — The Custer Gallatin National Forest announced in an official notice that Fairy Lake Road No. 74 will close starting Monday.

The closure covered the section of road shown by the forest and blocked access past the winter parking lot. That included vehicle, foot and bike traffic.

The area was already under its usual seasonal closure through June, according to the notice. Visitors could still reach Fairy Lake by using Forest Service trails, including Fairy Creek Trail from Battle Ridge Trailhead.
