Florence man gets 30 years in prison in child exploitation case
MISSOULA, Mont. — Acting U.S. Attorney Tim Racicot announced a 30 year prison sentence for a Florence man in a child exploitation case.
Matthew Ray Tack, 41, pleaded guilty in December 2025 to two counts of producing child pornography, two counts of transferring obscene material to minors and one count of receiving child pornography.
Court documents said investigators served a search warrant at Tack’s Florence home on May 14, 2024, and seized several phones and a laptop. A search of the laptop found three videos and 20 images showing minors in sexually explicit conduct, Racicot said in a release.
Forensic analysis found Tack had chats with minors on an online chat app, mostly between 2021 and 2022, according to the release. Investigators said those chats showed Tack asking multiple minors to send sexually explicit images and videos.
