MONTANA— The Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks Region 6 notice reported that the Fort Peck Dredge Cuts Fishing Access Site, known locally as the Trout Pond, had vehicle access restrictions because of unsafe road conditions.

FWP staff closed the access trail crossing the dike south of the boat ramp after significant sloughing affected the south side of the dike. The trail remained open for walk-in access.

The closure for motorized vehicles took effect April 30. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks said the restriction was expected to lift in a few weeks pending repair work.
