HPD describes 3 people involved in Helena burglary

The Helena Police Department released an update on Thursday about an active case regarding a burglary involving three people that took place on March 3.

The update by Lt. Jayson Zander said three people forced their way into Wayne Miller Coins at 38 N. Last Chance Gulch and took an undisclosed amount of coins.

The masked and gloved person was described as a medium or large build male. He was wearing a black, white and green-vertical striped hoodie, black beanie cap with a “0” or “O” on it and a facemask with a white, black and red skull on it.

The second person was described as a medium-build male wearing a black hoodie with white and red lettered logo on it, black beanie cap with a “0” or “O” on it, similar to the first person, and a light gray facemask that appeared to be a winter face covering.

The third person was described by police as a medium-build male wearing a black winter coat with the hood pulled up, black jeans and a black mask with an unknown logo on it.

They fled the scene in a gray vehicle similar to a 2020 Chrysler Pacifica, authorities said.

Detectives are gathering video evidence from neighboring businesses and the case is active.
