I-15 north of Sieben sees traffic shift, single-lane delays expected
SIEBEN, Mont. — The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) said traffic on Interstate 15 north of Sieben had shifted into a crossover, with both directions now using the southbound side during road work.
The traffic setup is expected to stay in place for most of the summer, MDT said in a release.
Drivers should expect single-lane travel and lower speed limits through the construction zone.
MDT also warned that people traveling between 4 and 6 a.m. could run into brief interstate closures when wide-load escorts were needed.
The project had a 12-foot width restriction. MDT said loads wider than 12 feet needed to be staged and escorted.
To avoid delays, MDT advised drivers to use the corridor before or after that early morning window.
