Janicki Industries picks Great Falls for major new campus

Great Falls, Mont. — Janicki Industries is planning a major expansion in Great Falls as it works to meet rising demand in the aerospace, defense and space industries.

Gov. Greg Gianforte announced earlier this week that the Washington state manufacturing company chose Great Falls for a new $800 million manufacturing campus.

The company said the project is expected to create 1,000 good-paying jobs within the first five years. It also said total employment is projected to grow past 2,000 once the campus was finished.

Janicki Industries President John Janicki said Montana offers a more business-friendly environment for large-scale growth.

"We like the idea of working with a government that understands business and will work with us instead of against us," said John Janicki.

Gianforte said his administration has focused on creating what he called the best environment for business and more opportunities for Montanans. He said that included simplifying tax reforms and creating more workforce housing initiatives.

"We send a message loud and clear that Montana is open for business. The Treasure State is proud to attract job creators like Janicki that choose to expand from high tax, high regulations states to take advantage of our unmatched quality of life, low taxes and strong workforce," said Gov. Greg Gianforte.

Janicki Industries is purchasing 180 acres of shovel-ready land within the Agritech Park in Great Falls. Construction is expected to begin this year and the first phase of the campus is anticipated to open by the end of 2027.
