BIG TIMBER, Mont. — A Montana Department of Transportation press release said work on the Main Boulder Road bridge just south of Big Timber was expected to begin the week of May 4.

MDT reported the project included bridge rehabilitation and guardrail upgrades on the bridge over Interstate 90 with partner L&J Construction. The agency said the work was expected to last about two months, depending on weather and other unforeseen factors.

Traffic control was expected during construction. MDT said drivers should plan for single-lane traffic controlled by temporary signals, delays of 10 to 15 minutes and an 11-foot width restriction.

Wide loads were advised to use an alternate route. People could check current traffic conditions at here and send project questions to mdtprojectpi@mt.gov.
