Missing woman found safe, Missoula Police cancels alert

UPDATE: May 27 at 3:10 p.m.

The alert has been cancelled. Howell has been found safe, according to MPD.

MISSOULA, Mont. - The Missoula Police Department (MPD) issued a Missing and Endangered Person Advisory for 31-year-old Heather Howell on Wednesday.

MPD said that she is believed to be experiencing a mental health crisis and "law enforcement has reason to believe that Heather is in danger."

Heather is described as being five-foot-seven-inches tall, 140 pounds, with blonde hair and hazel eyes. She is known to drive a 2005 white Toyota Avalon with the license plate 711434E.

Anyone with information related to Heather's whereabouts is asked to contact MPD at (406) 552-6300 or dial 911.
