Missoula crews put out South Higgins house fire, no injuries reported

MISSOULA, Mont. — Crews responded to a house fire yesterday afternoon in the 1800 block of S Higgins Ave. and found smoke coming from the back of the building.

Crews dealt with heavy smoke that dropped to about two feet above the floor.

Firefighters also had to work around heavy clutter inside the structure, Missoula Fire Department said in a release.

A search of the home confirmed no one was inside at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
