Missoula Fire Department responds to house fire, no one injured
MISSOULA, Mont. - The Missoula Fire Department (MFD) responded to a house fire on Eddy Avenue on Tuesday at around 11:15 p.m. No one was injured.
According to a press release from MFD, five engines and one ladder truck responded to the scene along with the Missoula Police Department and Missoula Emergency Services.
Firefighters conducted a thorough search upon arrival, MFD said, due to reports that an occupant may have been inside. Heavy fire and smoke were seen "on all levels of the structure, indicating extensive fire spread."
"Due to the extent of the fire and the labor-intensive overhaul, crews rotated frequently through operations to ensure overall safety of personnel and civilians," MFD said.
No injuries were reported.
MFD did not specify when the fire was put out or the state of the structure.
