Montana Department of Transportation EMS delivering new ambulances to rural grant recipients this spring

HELENA, Mont. - Several rural and volunteer emergency medical services providers (EMS) in Montana will receive new ambulances this spring, thanks to a grant from the Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) EMS Grant Program.

Grant recipients from the fiscal years 2024 and 2025 will see ambulances delivered in spring 2026.

Those recipients include Roosevelt Medical Center, Hill County Ambulance, Community Ambulance Service of Western Sanders County, Jefferson Valley Emergency Medical Services & Rescue and Grass Range Quick Response Unit.

"Since 2009 when the program was established by the Montana Legislature, MDT has awarded 213 grants totaling $15.2 million to enhance emergency services across the state," according to a press release from MDT.
