Montana Highway Patrol warns about distracted driving following crash

MONTANA — Montana Highway Patrol (MHP) warned the public about distracted driving after sharing a crash video via Facebook on Wednesday. Officials used the footage to demonstrate how quickly a distracted driver can cause a wreck.

The collision reportedly led to injuries that were not life-threatening, however, the agency warned that distracted driving could lead to much more serious outcomes.

MHP officials stated that distracted driving continues to cause a significant number of crashes in Montana and across the United States.
