Over 22,000 residents without power in Kalispell, surrounding area
KALISPELL, Mont. - More than 22,000 customers of Flathead Electric Cooperative are without power in Kalispell and its surrounding areas on Wednesday as the servicer says its working to restore power amid an equipment failure.
"We are aware of a large-scale outage impacting more than 22,000 members across our service territory, including most of the Flathead Valley," Flathead Electric Cooperative said in a social media post. "Equipment failure at one of our main delivery points appears to be the cause of today's outage. Our crews are actively working to restore service as quickly and safely as possible."
Drivers are warned to treat any dark intersections as a four-way stop.
"We understand how disruptive this is and appreciate your patience while we work on a solution," the company said.
