Over 2,700 students to graduate from MSU at May 8 commencement

BOZEMAN, Mont. — Montana State University will hold its 144th commencement ceremonies on Friday, May 8, at Brick Breeden Fieldhouse.

The school is expected to award just more than 2,700 degrees across the morning ceremony at 10 a.m. and the afternoon ceremony at 2:30 p.m.

MSU said the morning event is for the College of Agriculture, Jake Jabs College of Business and Entrepreneurship, Mark and Robyn Jones College of Nursing and Norm Asbjornson College of Engineering.

The afternoon event will recognize graduates from the College of Arts and Architecture, College of Education, Health and Human Development, College of Letters and Science and Gallatin College MSU.

The university also announced honorary degrees for Jaynee Drange Groseth and Rolf Stigum Groseth during the morning ceremony. In the afternoon, MSU said it planned to honor Elizabeth “Betty” McCoy with a posthumous honorary doctorate for her impact as a home economics alumna and longtime leader of Montana 4-H.
