Police blotter: Pedestrian allegedly throws liquid at officers

Out on patrol

Two officers were out on patrol at around 7 p.m. on Sunday, driving in the vicinity of Paxson Avenue and Meadowlark Lane.

In the area, they found a man, who was later identified as Gonzalo J. Aguilar, 40, of Butte, standing in the middle of the road.

Aguilar reportedly threw a large glass filled with liquid at the police car, which had its window partially down. The liquid hit both officers.

Aguilar then allegedly took off running but was quickly apprehended. He was arrested for being an intoxicated pedestrian walking or standing on the roadway, reasonable apprehension of serious bodily injury with a weapon, criminal mischief and obstructing a peace officer.

Out shopping

Just before closing on Sunday at Walmart, someone called the police to report that Anyssa Z. Burch, 28, of Butte, who had five warrants out of Butte City Court, was in the shopping center.

The police arrived and Burch reportedly ran outside and into a truck. An officer told the driver to stop, which they did.

Besides the warrants, Burch was also jailed for obstructing a peace officer.

Men in custody

Near the intersection of Main and Broadway streets on Saturday morning, Jaiden H. Burdette, 28, of Butte reportedly got into a fight with another man, who accused Burdette of stealing his wallet.

When officers arrived, Burdette allegedly admitted he had taken the wallet and was arrested for theft, second offense. At the jail, he reportedly had a baggie of suspected methamphetamine and was also jailed for criminal possession of dangerous drugs.

Also at the scene on Main and Broadway was Stephen K. McRill, 24, of Butte, who had several warrants out for his arrest. He, too, was handcuffed.

Jail booking

At around noon on Friday, Seth D. Toelke, 28, of Missoula was taken into custody at the office of Adult Probation & Parole.

He was booked into jail for probation violation.

Wreck leads to arrest

Anthony S. Hopper, 43, of Butte was reportedly involved in a one-vehicle accident around 10:45 p.m. on Thursday in the 1000 block of South Excelsior Street.

Hopper allegedly went through a stop sign, flew off an embankment, left the scene on foot and walked to the Rocker Inn.

Officers located Hopper at the Rocker Inn, where he was arrested for driving under the influence, careless driving, a stop sign violation, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to give notice of accident by quickest means and driving with a suspended driver’s license.

Home break-in

Just after 6 p.m. on Friday, someone entered a home through a window in the 600 block of Sampson Street and rifled through all the rooms.

Trailer taken

It was reported on Saturday afternoon that a 1998 Roadrunner travel trailer was stolen while parked just off Main Street.

House egged

On Sunday afternoon, a house in the 2600 block of Dakota Street was egged.
