Police blotter: Transient flees from Butte police officers

Bus station arrest

A transient, Kasmir Spilis, 33, was arrested just after 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Spilis was taken into custody after fleeing from officers who were investigating a disturbance at the Butte-Silver Bow Transit Station, 1324 Harrison Ave.

He was jailed for obstructing a peace officer.

In custody

On Wednesday afternoon, Butte police arrested Veronica Lasell, 48, of Butte near the intersection of Platinum and Dakota streets.

Two felony warrants out of Butte District Court had been issued for Lasell’s arrest.

Dashboard damaged

Shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, it was discovered someone broke into a 2001 Dodge Ram parked in the 4000 block of Corto Road and damaged the dashboard.

Truck scratched

Just before midnight on Wednesday, a woman reported that the windshield of her 2012 white Ford F-150, which was parked in the 100 block of West Broadway Street, had a cracked windshield, along with scratches all around the truck. It is believed a key or sharp metal object was used to damage the truck.

Eggs thrown

—At around 1 a.m. on Thursday, eggs were thrown at a camper parked in the 1600 block of Grand Avenue.

—On Thursday morning, a woman reported that someone hit her car with an egg in the 900 block of Granite Street.

Gunshots heard

Just after 8 p.m. on Thursday, a woman walking on Bluebird Trail west of Montana Tech called to report hearing four or five gunshots fired nearby. She told officers she did not see anyone in the area but heard the shots. Officers arrived to investigate but were unable to find anyone.
