Police blotter: Vu Villa disturbance leads to arrest of two Butte people

Sunday caper

Late Sunday night, officers arrived at the Vu Villa, 521 W. Park St., to investigate a disturbance

The alleged conduct of two Butte people at the scene, Lucas C. Raymond, 45, and Sierra S. Jaeger, 30, led to the duo eventually being put behind bars.

According to the police report, several people were suspected of being drunk and arguing at the drinking establishment. Jaeger, who allegedly was not involved in the disturbance, decided to join in the ongoing fray.

The Butte woman reportedly kept interrupting officers, talking over other people and was getting in everybody’s face. Because she allegedly attempted to prevent officers from speaking to the involved parties, she was handcuffed and put in the patrol car.

To continue the ongoing investigation, officers then went inside the establishment, leaving Jaeger in the patrol car.

That’s when Raymond reportedly got involved. He allegedly got Jaeger out of the patrol car, and she took off, handcuffs and all.

Raymond was arrested for felony obstructing justice and resisting arrest.

Officers later found Jaeger at Sam’s Place, 905 N. Excelsior St., with handcuffs still intact. She was jailed for escape, obstructing a peace officer, theft and resisting arrest.

In custody

At around 7:40 p.m. on Sunday, officers took Donald G. Heinze, 39, of Butte into custody for partner or family member assault causing bodily injury.

It is alleged the incident involved a woman and occurred in the 600 block of South Montana Street.

Nighttime arrest

Conner J. Kerins, 29, of Butte was arrested Sunday night for strangulation of partner or family member and tampering with a communication device to prevent or interfere with a criminal report.

Kerins allegedly struck a woman in the face several times, causing facial injuries.

Wanted man

Just before 4:45 a.m. on Sunday, an officer witnessed Ayden D. McGee, 24, of Butte enter the Town Pump at 531 S. Montana St., and knew McGee had two felony warrants out for his arrest.

The officer entered the store and took McGee into custody.

At the Butte Detention Center, McGee allegedly had in his possession a small baggie of methamphetamine and a meth pipe. He was also jailed for criminal possession of dangerous drugs and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.

Fake ID

At around 1 a.m. on Sunday, Tytan B. Cook, 19, of Anaconda reportedly walked into the Party Palace, 1 W. Park St., carrying a fake ID, which the bouncer allegedly did not fall for.

Cook reportedly left but then returned, causing a disturbance. The police arrived and took him into custody for disorderly conduct, obstructing a peace officer and possessing intoxicating substances while under the age of 21, but over the age of 18.

Vehicles damaged

—On Friday morning, the owner of a 2019 Acura MDX reported someone scratched the driver’s side of the vehicle while it was parked in the 900 block of Evans Avenue.

—A window of a 1995 Ford F-250 was broken out at around noon on Friday while parked in the 1900 block of Wall Street.

Under investigation

Early Friday afternoon, someone broke into an apartment at the Leggat, 50 W. Broadway St. Video footage shows the suspect was a woman. The break-in is under investigation.

Beer stolen

Just after midnight on Saturday, an unidentified man reportedly stole two cases of beer from the Town Pump in Rocker.

Criminal mischief

At around 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, a commercial building at 12 S. Idaho St., had a window broken out. According to the police report, three unidentified juvenile males were seen running from the scene.

False alarm

Just before 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, a call came in about explosives on Oregon Avenue. It turns out the combustibles were toy grenades.
