Poor visibility conditions in Valley County, multiple car crashes reported

The National Weather Service has issued a blowing dust advisory for northeastern Montana until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14. A high wind warning is in effect until midnight. 

Residents are urged to avoid travel if possible. 

VALLEY COUNTY, Mont. - Poor visibility conditions have been reported in Valley County, and the Glasgow Police Department is warning residents not to leave Glasgow heading east until the high winds subside.

"Visibility is very poor and its reported that there is no visibility heading from Nashua to Fraser," GPD wrote in a social media post. 

GPD said that at least two car crashes have been reported in the area. 

According to the Montana Transportation Department, U.S. 2 is blocked west of Frazer due to a "multi-vehicle crash," and low visibility.
