Ravalli County Commissioners approve 10-lot subdivision in Corvallis
Ravalli County Commissioners gave final approval for the Hamilton Heights ten-lot major subdivision off Bass Lane in Corvallis during their Monday, March 30 meeting.
The plat was conditionally approved on Oct. 2 2025, and the developer has provided the funds to cover the necessary road and utility improvements in the amount of $192,225 as outlined in the a Subdivision Improvement Agreement (SIA).
During the meeting, Ravalli County Planning Director and Floodplain Administrator Rob Livesay said his department determined the mitigating conditions of approval for final plat, not covered by the SIA have been met, and recommended the commissioners approve the final plat, SIA and associated materials.
Ravalli County Planning Director and Floodplain Administrator Rob Livesay said SIA's allow landowners to submit final plats without completing required road work like paving a road. A couple reasons landowners will submit an SIA are so they can sell lots at a price which covers the cost of improvements and road work, or to meet the deadline to file the final plat during a time roadwork cannot be completed like during the winter.
