Reports of zero visibility on U.S. Highway 2 in Phillips County

The National Weather Service has issued a blowing dust advisory for northeastern Montana until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14. A high wind warning is in effect until midnight.

Residents are urged to avoid travel if possible.

PHILLIPS COUNTY, Mont. - The Phillips County Sheriff's Office issued a travel alert warning drivers of little to no visibility on U.S. Highway 2 through the county due to high winds and blowing dust.

PCSO advised residents to limit travel as much as possible along the highway.

"If you must travel, please turn your headlights on and activate your hazards and travel slowly if required," PCSO wrote in a social media post.
