MISSOULA, Mont. — Splash Montana kicks off its 20th summer season on Friday, June 12 with daily open swim sessions scheduled through August 26 at the Missoula waterpark in Playfair Park.

Open swim runs each day from 11:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. and again from 3:15 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The park will also hold a weeklong anniversary event from July 12 through July 17 to mark the facility’s 20th year.

The Splash Birthday Bash will have games, tournaments, scavenger hunts and other activities for children and adults.

Special evening events returned from June 30 through July 30. Adult Night was scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays while Teen/Young Adult Night was set for Wednesdays in July and Family Fridays ran from July 10 through July 31.

Those evening sessions are scheduled from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. after regular operating hours.

Splash Montana’s attractions included three water slides, a lazy river, a children’s play area, the Crazy Creek Café and Fireline Grill. The site also included The Lake 50-meter pool with eight lap lanes for competition swimming, lap swim, lessons and inner-tube water polo.

City officials said Splash Montana and Currents Aquatics Center were fully ADA-compliant and included a wheelchair lift and water wheelchair. The facility also offered certified lifeguards, shaded lounge chairs and full-service locker rooms.

The park had two rentable party cabanas and offered birthday party food packages. Group pricing was available during regular hours and the site could also be rented after hours.

Information on admission prices, discount cards, annual and seasonal passes, punch cards and youth recreation grants was available on the city's website.
