St. Ignatius police seek tips after reported indecent exposure

St. Ignatius, Mont. — Police in St. Ignatius are asking residents to check cameras and report anything suspicious after a reported indecent exposure case near Second Avenue and Crystal Street.

A Facebook post from the St. Ignatius Police Department said the incident was reported around 8:30 p.m. on May 11, 2026, and was logged as case report SI26-023.

Officers said they are looking for an older dark truck or SUV from the 2000s that may have been a Ford Explorer. They said the vehicle looked cluttered inside and may have been used as a living space.

Police said the Montana plate was hard to make out because it appeared dark or dirty and may have started with 15-AA.

The suspect was described as a man in his 20s to 30s with a medium to medium-dark complexion, medium to long hair and dark clothing.

Police asked anyone with home surveillance video or anyone who noticed suspicious activity in the area between 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. to call Lake County Dispatch at 406-883-7301 Ext. 1 to speak with an officer.
