Suspect charged in March 6 shooting in Missoula

Missoula Police shared an update to the March 6 shooting in the area of South 13th Street West and Kemp Street.

Investigators said witnesses and surveillance video helped identify a suspect, leading to the involvement of the FBI Montana Regional Violent Crime Task Force.

The task force assisted in locating Tyree Sisler-Mack, 23, who was taken into custody and charged with Criminal Endangerment and Criminal Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, police said.

His arraignment is scheduled for March 23.

Investigators said a firearm believed to have been used in the incident was recovered along with several shell casings.

A bullet recovered several blocks away indicated that rounds traveled beyond the immediate area, police added.

MISSOULA, Mont. – A significant police presence is currently in Missoula as authorities investigate an early morning shooting incident.

In a Facebook post, the Missoula Police Department shared that officers responded around 6:30 a.m. to reports of gunfire near South 13th Street and Kemp Street. Two adult males have been detained in connection with the incident.

While there were initial concerns about a possible injury, no injured individuals have been found, leaving the report unconfirmed.

The investigation is ongoing, and the public is advised to avoid the area while it continues.
