The fabulous Foothills 16K

Looking for a way to get out and about before the cold comes and the chill outside is too much to handle? On Saturday, Oct. 9, Bozeman is hosting a 16K in one of the most beautiful places a person could run. Averaging about 9.9 miles, runners will journey from Sypes Canyon to the ‘M’ trailhead, through endless beauty provided by nature itself, then they will make their way to Story Mill Park where they will cross the finish line likely dripping in sweat. At the finish line, runners should expect free burritos, coffee and a 16K “swag item,” as reward for their efforts. The registration cost is $65 including fees. Participants can pick up their pre-event packet on Friday, Oct. 8, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the Bozeman Running Company, or before the run at Story Mill Park between 7:30-7:45 a.m. There will be no parking at the start line. Participants are asked to park at Story Mill Park where buses will start to load at approximately 7:45 a.m. to take attendees to start their journey at 9 a.m. The Foothills 16K will be limited to 350 participants and is on a first-come/first-serve basis.

Participants are encouraged to avoid headphone usage. However, if they are going to be worn it is preferred that only one earbud is in and is on a lower volume setting. This makes it easier for others to be vocal when they are passing runners on the trail. For more information visit https://www.bozemanrunningcompany.com/foothills16k.html.
