Updated: Two arrested after shooting on Reserve Street
A man was shot and killed at the 2200 block of Reserve Street Wednesday afternoon, according to the Missoula Police Department.
According to an MPD press release, officers responded around 3:30 to the area of the Reserve Town Pump and Albertsons for a report that a man had been shot and was receiving CPR. Officers took over CPR, but the man was pronounced dead on scene.
Two people were arrested and charged in connection with the shooting. Brandon Wakefield, 33, was arrested and charged with deliberate homicide and assault with a weapon. Austin Mistretta, 39, was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon.
The release states that the people involved were bail bondsmen conducting a bond revocation and their clothing identified them as such. According to the Missoula Police Department, the person shot was the one the bondsmen were seeking.
MPD has accounted for and is interviewing everyone involved, according to the release. The investigation remains active and more information will be released as it becomes available.
