Vandalism at Sluice Boxes State Park prompts investigation

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Vandalism was found at the Sluice Boxes State Park south of Belt.

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks posted pictures of the rock walls covered in spray painted graffiti. Human-made structures were also covered in graffiti, according to pictures shared by the department.

It said the “extensive amounts” of graffiti were found on rock walls and structures within the canyon on June 3.

The department asked the public for information about the incident and said people who report helpful information could be eligible for a cash reward.
