Wildfire burning one-quarter acre near Mineral, Sanders County line

MISSOULA, Mont. - U.S. Forest Service crews are responding to a wildfire that started burning near the Mineral-Sanders county line on Tuesday. It is currently estimated at one-quarter acre in size, according to the Mineral County Sheriff's Office (MCSO).

"We have been in contact with the United States Forest Service and they have a crew hiking in," MCSO said. "Also expect helicopter traffic in the area. We will keep you up to date when we know more information."
